The following courses are to be taken by employees at Snow Mountain Ranch. If you work at Estes Park, scroll down to the Estes Park instructions.


There is also a standalone Child Abuse Prevention course offered for specific employees. See Child Abuse Prevention course for Snow Mountain Ranch (Part 2) for instructions. This standalone course also has a page before the final page, called Signature Page, which includes a form that MUST be filled out and submitted.


YMCA of the Rockies (Snow Mountain Ranch) NEO Part 1:


  1. Welcome: Must listen to audio before next is enabled.

  2. CEO Intro: Must watch entire video of CEO Kent Meyer (it automatically advances to the next page when video completes)

  3. Mission: Allow intro audio to complete, then click 3 highlighted areas (1.Christian Principles 2. Builds healthy spirit, mind and body 3.for all) Under the For All section, user must click “Letter from guest” and listen to the whole audio before that section is complete. (Will automatically advance to the next page when all 3 highlighted areas have been clicked)

    1. Y Mission- 4 Types of Members: Listen to intro audio, then click all four member types and listen to and/or read the letters for each member type. After all four types/letters have been viewed listen to Mission Conclusion Audio to enable next button.

  4. Core Values: Must listen to intro audio and click all five core values to the right of the screen before next is enabled. Once they’ve been clicked, a checkmark appears on each button.

  5. History: Must click all 8 circles on the timeline and listen to all audio for each of the circles before next is enabled. White checkmarks will appear on circles to indicate which circles have been completed.

  6. Centers: Listen to intro audio then click either lodging guides to continue. The course will automatically advance to the guide that wasn’t chosen once narration completes. User will be prompted to click Continue. Once all audio narration for this section completes the next button will become enabled.

  7. Safety: Listen to all intro narration then click 5 tabs at top of screen to enable next. White checkmark will appear over section tab when it is completed.

    1. OSHA- Allow narration to complete

    2. BBP- Click three buttons to left of screen to advance

      1. BBP Definition- Listen to audio

      2. PPE- Listen to audio

      3. If exposed- click steps 1-4

    3. Safety Data Sheets- Listen to intro narration then click 4 orange buttons to the left

      1. SDS contains: Listen to audio then click 3 numbered buttons

      2. When to Consult SDS- Listen to Audio

      3. Reading the SDS Part 1- Listen to intro audio and click 4 flashing orange hotspots

      4. Reading the SDS Part 2- Listen to intro audio and click 4 flashing orange hotspots

    4. Slips, Trips, and Falls- Listen to Intro audio then click 5 numbers. Orange checkmark will appear over numbers once they’ve been clicked.

    5. Proper Lifting- Listen to intro audio then click the three orange buttons to left of screen

      1. Causes for back injuries- click numbered buttons 1-4

      2. Preventing Back Injuries- click numbered buttons 1-5

      3. Proper Technique- Select one of the image choices

  8. Life In The Mountains: Listen to intro audio. View all three buttons to the left of screen to enable next button. Checkmark appears when section has been fully completed.

    1. Wildlife- View all 4 Rules. White checkmark appears on rules when audio completes.

    2. Mountain Illnesses- Click tabs at top right labeled 1, 2, and 3. Checkmark appears when clicked

    3. Lightning- Listen to intro audio and then complete T/F activity

  9. Employee Handbook: Allow intro narration to complete to enable 7 tabs to the right. Click all 7 tabs, allow audio to complete in each section, and click any buttons in each section before next is enabled. Discrimination section has a video that must be viewed in order to complete section. White checkmark will appear over each notebook tab when all audio has been listened to within that section.

  10. Harassment Policy: Must watch intro video from HR Director of Snow Mountain Ranch, then listen to harassment intro audio. Then, click the folded corner on screen. Next, they have to click the four different types of harassment, and again click the folded corner once they’ve viewed all four types of harassment. After that, user must click through all five remaining screens by using the folded edges at the bottom of the colored shapes before next is enabled. After they get to “Corrective Action” (red block on screen) the next will be enabled.

  11. Outreach and Inclusion: Allow intro audio to complete, then after clicking on all four images click the blue continue button on screen. Listen to conclusion audio to enable next.

  12. International: Listen to audio, when user reaches Many Cultures=Many Differences page they must read the list and then click where it says “Greetings and Communication Style.” After they have clicked the four buttons to right of screen they must click Blue Continue button. Will then be asked to view 4 guidelines. Once they have viewed all four they can press blue continue button. Allow “What do we expect from you?” audio to complete and then hit purple continue button to finish section. After this button has been clicked and audio finishes the next button will become enabled.

  13. Media and Communication: Listen to intro narration then click 4 buttons along bottom of screen. Once all audio in each section is complete a checkmark will appear over buttons.

Child Abuse & Maltreatment Prevention Training


  1. Welcome Screen: If this is your first time opening the course, read the message at bottom right and click “Continue.” If you are coming back into the course, you can either click “Continue From Where I Left” or “Start Over”. If you choose to start over, you will have to redo all information you’ve previously completed.

  2. Welcome: Must listen to intro audio, then video will appear. Watch video before next is enabled.

  3. Section 1 Intro: Allow audio to complete, then next will become enabled.

  4. Stats: Must listen to audio before next is enabled.

  5. Types of Abuse: Listen to intro audio, then must click four types of abuse in the top right corner or on the pie chart. You do not need to click “Other Maltreatment,” as there is no additional information about that one. Once you’ve clicked each, a white checkmark will appear in the legend at top right. When all four are complete, a popup will appear. Click the button to continue. Audio will start to play, and another popup will appear. Click “Begin” to start the activity:

  • Drag and drop activity: There is a word bank on the left side of the page, made up of indicators that a child may be in an abusive situation. To the right and bottom of the page, there are 5 boxes, one to represent each type of abuse, and a fifth box to represent indicators that are common for all types of abuse. Each indicator on the left must be dragged into its appropriate box. When all of the indicators have been moved into a box, feedback will appear; read it. If you have missed some, click the button to view the correct answers. You are asked to also download a PDF for additional information. Then you may click the next button to move on.

  • Family Characteristics: Must click each of the 10 pictures, and read the information that pops up for each, before next is enabled. Green checkmarks will appear on pictures that have been completed.

  • Profiles of Abusers: Listen to intro audio and read instructions. Click blue button to begin the activity. Statements will appear above the images. Read them, and select whether each statement is true for female abusers, male abusers, or both. There are 10 statements total. After all have been completed, a popup will appear with some information that needs to be read. Then, next will become enabled.

  • Strategies of Child Abusers: Click the four images to learn about the different strategies often used by child abusers. Must listen to each of the four strategies scenarios/explanations before next is enabled. When each of the strategies is completed, the picture for that strategy is grayed out in the opening menu.

  • Child on Child Abuse: Must answer T/F question at beginning, then click the 8 buttons that are shown on left side of screen. Red checkmarks appear on buttons that have been clicked. Once all are clicked, next is enabled.

  • Normal Sexual Behavior: Must listen to intro audio, then click on each age group, one at a time. Within each age group, there will be an activity where you must select the behaviors shown that are normal for children in that age group. Once you select your responses, click the submit button, and feedback will appear. Read the feedback, then another button appears to take you back to the main menu to select another age group. Orange checkmarks appear on completed age groups within the main menu. Once all four age groups’ activities are complete, next will become enabled.

  • Section 2 Intro: Audio will begin to play. After it has completed, next will become enabled.

  • Program and Staffing Issues: Must watch video at beginning, then eight program and staffing issues will be listed to the right. Each one must be visited to receive a checkmark. After all have been visited, and all information has been read, next will become enabled.

  • Appropriate Touching Part 1: Click red begin button to read through scenario. At the top of the screen, you will read the scenario. Below that, you will be shown a rule about appropriate touching of children. Under the rule will be a button that you must click to progress through the scenario. There will be five parts to the scenario, and therefore, five rules. Once you’re at Rule #5, next will become enabled.

  • Appropriate Touching Part 2: Must click through all three examples and listen to audio within each. “Sitting on Your Lap” section has a video that must be watched. A question pops up during video, as well, that must be answered. Once a section is completed, it will be checked off with a pink checkmark.

  • Showing Affection: Five guidelines will appear at right. All five guidelines must be clicked, and all information within each guideline must be listened to, before next is enabled. White checkmarks appear on completed guidelines’ buttons.

  • Code of Conduct: All pieces of the code of conduct must be clicked (24 boxes). “Outside Program” piece has video that must be watched (second row, second from right.) When a piece has been completed, it will appear as a solid color with text. Once all are completed, next is enabled.

  • Section 3 Intro: Audio will begin to play. After it has completed, next will become enabled.

  • How to Respond: Must watch video. During video, suggestions will appear. Read the suggestions, and then continue video by clicking buttons that prompt you to do so. Once video is complete, next will be enabled.

  • Common Ways Kids Disclose: Must click three most common ways and listen to scenarios. In each scenario, you are posed with a question. Think about a response, and click the button that will appear in the bottom left corner to continue the scenario. Checkmarks appear on completed sections when user returns to main screen following each scenario. Once all three are complete, next will become enabled.

  • Making the Report: Must listen to intro audio, then click play to watch a video. After the video, a steps bar will appear. Click each of the 6 “steps” buttons that (buttons are circles, like timeline). Step 1 has a video that must be watched before it is considered complete. White checkmarks will appear on step circles once they are complete.

  • Reporting a Coworker: Must click each of the 6 steps before next is enabled. White checkmarks will appear on each step button when it has been clicked.

  • FAQ: Click all three questions before continuing on.

  • Final thoughts: Must watch video of Jeff Mabry (EPC Program Director), then next steps will appear, instructing you to begin Part III: Center-Specific Orientation.


  • YMCA of the Rockies (Snow Mountain Ranch) NEO Part 3 (Center-Specific Orientation)
    Note: First two pages will be the same for everyone. From there, please follow your center-specific instructions below.


    1. Opening Screen: If this is your first time opening the course, read the message at bottom right and click “Continue.” If you are coming back into the course, you can either click “Continue From Where I Left” or “Start Over”. If you choose to start over, you will have to redo all information you’ve previously completed.

      Then, listen to intro narration and click next button when narration is complete.

    2. Selection: Select center at which you are employed (Estes Park Center or Snow Mountain Ranch).

    From there, if you selected Estes Park:

    1. Welcome to: Listen to introductory audio, then watch video of Center Director. Following the video, next will become enabled.

    2. Benefits: Allow audio to complete, then click orange button at top right to download PDF. Next will become enabled when audio ends.

    3. Housing: Listen to introductory audio then click 4 buttons to left of screen (3H’s, Friendship Circle, Mt. Ypsilon, and Twin Sisters). Once all four housing types have been clicked, a button will appear on screen, at bottom left corner, that says, “click here to learn more about housing.” Click this button to move on.
      Intro audio will play. Then, click the four tabs at top of course screen (Resident Advisor, Cleaning Assignments, House Rules, and Activities). Read information that appears under each tab. Once each has been clicked, a white checkmark will appear on the tab to indicate completion. When all four tabs have been clicked, and all checkmarks are showing, next will become enabled.

    4. Departments: Listen to intro audio then view all 9 videos. Background behind each number will fade to red when video has been watched in its entirety. A box will pop up in the bottom right of the screen when all videos have been viewed indicating that you can continue on with the course.

    5. Guest Service: Listen to audio and read information from the screen as it appears. When the screen appears with the word CAUSE at the top, click all letters of the word CAUSE, one at a time. For each letter, you must allow all audio to complete before you can move on to the next letter. A checkmark will appear above the letter once audio completes. When all letters have been clicked, a box will appear in bottom right corner that instructs you to click the arrow to continue. Click the arrow within the box to hear a final message. Once audio completes, the next button will become enabled.

    6. Signature Page: This page includes a mandatory form require to be completed in order to receive credit for completing the course. If you do not submit the form, you will not be marked as complete for this course. If the form does not load within the course, click the link at the bottom of the page to open it in a new window. Fill out the form in the new window, then return to the course and click next to view the final page and receive next steps.

  • Next Steps: Listen to audio; then, you may exit the course.


  • From there, if you selected Snow Mountain Ranch:

    1. Welcome to: Listen to introductory audio, then watch video of Center Director. Following the video, next will become enabled.

    2. Benefits: Listen to intro audio then click all 6 benefits. A white checkmark will appear over benefits once they have been viewed. Once all 6 have been viewed, and all checkmarks are showing, next will become enabled.
