Greater Providence YMCA New Employee Orientation:

Part I: New Employee Orientation (This section has not been completed yet)

  1. Welcome: Must click on continue, then list to all audio. This is the same as every YMCA course.

  2. CEO Intro: Must watch the video that auto-plays. After, the page will auto move to the next.

  3. Mission: The slide will auto play. After the audio and animations are complete, they can click next to continue (as indicated by the pop-up.)

  4. Core Values: Must click on each of the tile sections (4 total) before next is enabled. All audio must be listened to before being able to click next.

  5. Areas of Focus: Must click on all three categories: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. When Social Responsibility is displayed, must click both Volunteering and Giving. When those displays are hidden, an animation will pop up that the user must watch, followed by a video. When video completes, user will be allowed to continue.

  6. Timeline: User must click each of the orange circles on the red bar. There are 7 total, and the audio must be listen completely for each before next will become enabled.

  7. Branches: This page they must click each of the branches to the left—12 of them. They must listen to all audio to receive a checkmark for that branch. They may re-click the branch they’re on to close the branch pop-out. After all the checks appear, a popup will ask the user to view the organizational chart. Once org chart display is viewed, user will be allowed to continue.

  8. Our Programs: After the intro audio, 8 buttons appear to the right. The user must click each of them and listen to the audio entirely. Once each of the 8 are complete, they receive check marks. When all checks are displayed, next will become enabled.

  9. Developing Cause-Driven Leaders: After intro audio, user will be instructed to click on each of the 4 elements of the graphic. Once each is clicked, the user will be instructed to continue.

  10. 70/20/10 Model: After intro audio, user will be instructed to click each slide of the pie chart. After all three are clicked, a conclusion audio will play and the user will be instructed to continue.

  11. Listen First: After intro audio, four buttons display at the bottom of the screen. The user clicks each, and is required to listen to the audio in it’s entirety. When each audio clip finishes, a checkmark displays next to that particular button. Once all checkmarks are displayed, the user will be instructed to continue.

  12. Diversity: After the intro audio, the user is instructed to click the five buttons on the left. Once the audio for each button completes, a check mark will appear next to each button. (For the “Definitions” check to display, the user has to complete the exercise of dragging the correct definitions into the correct box as well). When all five checks are visible, the user will be instructed to continue.

  13. Harassment Policy: This section has 5 subsections. Learner must click the tabs at the bottom right of the shape on screen to move between sub-sections.

    1. Intro - Must listen to intro audio. Then, learner must click the tab on the bottom right of the red shape on screen. Once they click the tab, they will be shown the definition of harassment.

    2. Definition of Harassment - definition and 4 buttons will appear (Physical, Verbal, Written, and Sexual). They must click through each of these different types of harassment. Once they click all 4 buttons (each type of harassement), the orange tab on the bottom right of the red shape will be clickable. They must click the orange tab to continue.

    3. Reporting a Claim - they just have to listen to brief line of audio, then click the yellow-orange tab at bottom right of shape to move on.

    4. Confidentiality - Again, just have to listen to brief line of audio, then click the yellow tab at bottom right of shape.

    5. Corrective Action - Have to listen to audio, then next will become enabled.

  14. Handbook: After the intro audio, each of the tabs of the handbook (on right side of screen; 12 total tabs) will become enabled. They must listen to all audio to complete each tab. A white checkmark will appear on each completed tab. Next will become enabled after all 12 tabs are complete. Tab 2, Tab 5, Tab 6, and Tab 9 have additional requirements for completion:

    1. Tab 2, User must read the information displayed by the three buttons on the left hand side of the screen. Once each button is clicked, a check mark will indicate that it is complete. When all three are complete, the Tab 2 checkmark will appear.

    2. Tab 5: Learner must click the button to download the Code of Conduct in addition to listening to the audio in its entirety.

    3. Tab 6: Learner must click the button to download the Compute Use guide in addition to listening to the audio in its entirety.

    4. Tab 9: Learner must click the button to download the Benefit Guide to in addition to listening to the audio in its entirety.

  15. GPY Intranet site: User must listen to audio narration in it’s entirety before next is enabled.

  16. Next Steps: Listen to audio and complete the on-screen instructions to start Part 2.



Part II: Employee Safety

**This course has 4 tabs at the top. Each tab will ONLY become enabled after the respective section is complete. For example, when on the Accidents and Injuries page, the 3 other sections (BBP, SDS, & Chemical Labels) will be disabled. In the event they complete any of these sections, they return to the Accidents and Injuries page, these section buttons will become enabled throughout the course.**

  1. Welcome: Must click on continue, then list to all audio. This is the same as every YMCA course.

  2. Accidents & Injuries: Intro audio does not need to be listened to. They must click and read through the 4 buttons on screen. There is no audio for these. After all 4 have appeared, they are free to move onto the next page

  3. Bloodborne Pathogens: Intro audio does not need to be listened to. There are 3 buttons to the left that each have a section that IS REQUIRED to be listened to to be marked as completed and receive a check mark.

    1. BBP Definitions - Audio just needs to be listened to.

    2. PPE - Audio just needs to be listened to.

    3. If Exposed - Each of the 4 buttons needs to be clicked to reveal the steps.

  4. Hazcom & SDS: Intro audio does not need to be listened to. There are 3 buttons to the left that each have a section that IS REQUIRED to be listened to to be marked as completed and receive a check mark.

    1. SDS Contains - Each of the 3 buttons needs to be clicked to reveal the steps.

    2. Consult SDS - Audio just needs to be listened to.

    3. Reading the SDS - Each of the 16 buttons must be clicked, revealing each of the checkmarks.

  5. Chemical Labels: This page has 9 hazard icon on it. Each must be clicked and read to recieve and checkmark. After they are all viewed, a pop up will appear telling them they can move on.

  6. Signature Page: They are required to fill out the Signature page form, then can click next to move on.

  7. Next Steps: Listen to audio and complete the on-screen instructions to start Part 3. This YMCA requires the student to take the CAP training through the Redwoods Institute. Once they click the button, instructions will appear to guide them on how to take it. The Log-in is not the same as ours, they will need to create a new log-in specifically for the Redwoods Institute. If they have any questions, they may call (401)427-1828.
