SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a set of technical standards used by e-learning products. SCORM is how we connect your courses with our LMS so if a learner completes a course, our site sets their status accordingly. SCORM is often seen as the industry standard for e-learning interoperability, and is the standard that CollaborNation follows. SCORM takes the technical portion out of creating courses to let you focus more on creating the course itself.

As technology develops, the SCORM standard also updates. As such there are a few main versions of SCORM that have emerged over the years that CollaborNation supports fully. Those main versions are:

  • SCORM 1.2
  • SCORM 2004
  • The Experience API (xAPI / Tin Can API)
