Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is an education specification developed by 1EdTech (formerly known as IMS Global) to establish a standardized way for systems to communicate with external systems.
With this integration, you are able to add courses that are hosted in another platform and have it appear in your CollaborNation site. This allows you to manage your course in the other platform, but still offer it directly in our LMS. CypherWorx officially supports LTI 1.3.
To get started, you will need to contact us and provide us with the following fields:
- Login URL
- Redirect URL
- Keyset URL / Public Key
- Target URL: Please provide a separate URL for each course you would like to have added
Each system will have different instructions on providing this information, so please refer to that system's support documentation.
CypherWorx will then configure your platform to be connected with ours. Once completed, we will then provide to you the following fields to then add into your platform:
- OAuth Client ID
- OAuth Authorization Request Endpoint
- OAuth Access Token Endpoint
- JSON Web Key Endpoint
- Issuer
- Deployment Identifier
Once added, we will test the connection and confirm that the integration is working properly. CypherWorx will then add the course to your site, where you can then manage it similar to any other course.
If you would like any additional courses, you will just need to provide us with a Target URL for each additional course.
Please note that through LTI, not all reportable fields will be sent back to the CypherWorx LMS. Primarily, it is up to the other LMS to provide these fields. CypherWorx is typically able to receive these fields:
- Completion Status: Complete or Incomplete
- Completed Date
- Score
